Ishan Earthing System

Ease to installation, Customization, Flexibility, Efficiency and Safety are the fundamental of ISHAN EARTHING.

ISHAN EARTHING addresses these needs effectively and provides comprehensive solutions for Earthing/Grounding applications

ISHAN EARTHING enables installations to be planned to suit specific layout requirements. a complete system that provides ideal solutions for the Earthing/ Grounding in COPPER and G.I.

Earthing is essential in any electrical installation to provide safety. The conventional G.I pipe earthing system employing charcoal & salt are provided for various applications as per IS:3043, corrosion of metallic parts is comparatively fast besides maintenance by way of watering of earth pits and chiselling of corrosions prone parts & their replacement require monitoring which may not always be feasible in certain crowded and inaccessible areas.

SCOPE OF ISHAN EARTHING:-

This specification covers components, enhancing material & jointing used and procedure for constructing the earth pit for maintenance free earthing system to ensure that the resistance to earth is near ZERO consistent throughout the year.

REFERENCES:-

This specification requires the reference to the following documents.

IS:3043-1987 Indian standard code of practice for earthin.
IEEE-80 IEE Guide for safety in AC sub-stations grounding.
IEEE-837 Standard for qualifying permanent connections used in sub-stations grounding.
Indian Electricity Rules 1956 with latest amendments,

LOCATION OF EARTHING:-

Where there is option, site should be chosen in one of the following types of soil in the order of preference given-

  1. Wet marshy ground.
  2. Clay, loamy soil, arable land
  3. Clay and loam mixed with varying proportions of sand, gravel and stones,
  4. Damp and wet sand, peat,

Dry sand, gravel chalk, limestone, granite, very stony ground and all locations where virgin rock is very close to the surface should be avoided

USE OF EARTHING:-

The proper earthing ensures reference voltage (GND) for its functional needs. It is also the only safe path to conduct VHF, Harmonics, Surges, Unbalances, Short Circuit Current &other faults into the ground mass.
