How To Install

HOW TO INSTALL:

  1. Augur/Drill/Bore a hole of 8 to 10 inches in diameter to a suitable depth of 2 or 3 meters.
  2. Place electrode at center of the pit.
  3. Start refilling empty space around electrode with GEC in small quantities.
  4. Pour some water and push up the pit along with wooden rod. Allow trapped air to escape.
  5. In this manner gradually continue refilling process till electrode is fixed in the pit up to the blue patch painted on the top portion of electrode.
  6. Pour a few buckets of water in and around pit every day or for 3 days so that system can be set.

PRECAUTIONS:

  1. Do not use force to drive electrode into pit.
  2. Do not drop earthing electrode in pit.
  3. Do not hammer or cut electrode while installing.
  4. Insure that electrode terminal and pink color patch are above the soil.
  5. During peak summer months pour a few buckets of water around electrode for few days
  6. If soil in pit sinks, fill it with good soil.

APPLICATIONS

  • Transmission & Distribution system.
  • Substation and power generating stations.
  • Telecommunication and microwave Antennas.
  • Transformer natural earthing, equipment body earthing. Sensitive electronic machines, lighting arrestor earthing, data processing center refineries and manufacturing facilities, food processing & water treatment plants, industries residences.
  • Every equipment and place where electricity is being used in any form.

ADVANTAGES

  • Less time
  • Less space and manpower required for installation
  • Negligible maintenance and long and reliable average life of 15 to 20 years. Cost saving on maintenance and no material replacement during its life period. Smooth dissipation of fault, lighting, and short circuit current, low electrical resistance, less corrosion.
